Judges for the 2008 Best Of The Valley Quilt Show

Andrea Paredja

Andi Perejda’s original career was in medical research, but after starting a family in 1983, she found there weren’t enough hours in the day to do everything, so she “retired.”  After moving to the Central Coast of California from the Los Angeles area in 1990, Andi took a patchwork class and the rest, as they say, is history.

Andi has enjoyed taking classes from many well-known quilters and has found that there are some techniques she loves, such as hand quilting and hand appliqué.  But quilt making is too exciting to limit oneself to just one or two techniques, so she can be found making almost anything!  She especially likes creating her own designs and has started beading and dying fabrics.

In addition to teaching appliqué, hand quilting and her Circle of Illusion, Andi is an award-winning quilter and is a NQA certified quilt judge.  She has recently produced three teaching DVD’s with Kelly Abbott at Jukebox Quilts.
